The weekend of September 12, 2008 - September 14, 2008 we will be showing another movie starring Brendan Fraser, this one based on the classic Jules Verne novel, Journey to the Center of the Earth.
Professor Trevor Anderson, played by Brendan Fraser, heads the Center of Volcanic Activity. Ten years ago his brother Max was placing the monitoring system around the world. He never returned, leaving behind a wife and son. Following a lead from his brother's copy of Journey to the Center of the Earth, Trevor and his nephew Sean fly to Iceland to check one of the monitors and see if they can get information about Max.
While investigating with their guide, Hannah, they get trapped in an abandoned mine, the floor of which breaks beneath them and they fall for miles to the center of the earth, landing in another world beneath our own filled with creatures and plants that became extinct on the surface millions of years ago.
