Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Diary of a Wimpy Kid PosterThe week of May 21, 2010 - May 27, 2010 we are happy to be showing Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

"It's NOT a diary, it's a journal!"

Like millions of kids before him, Greg Heffley thinks middle school is one of the dumbest things ever invented. It is filled with dangers at every turn, ranging from morons, wedgies, and bullies, to cheese with nuclear cooties.

To survive the ordeal that is school and earn the status he thinks he deserves, Greg comes up with a stream of can't miss schemes, which, of course, always fail.

What's more, he puts it all down on paper, along with his opinions, thoughts, tales of family troubles, and, of course, his schemes for schoolyard triumph and the fantasies they engender. Thus is born The Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Dear John Redux

Dear John PosterI obviously have problems. Contrary to what I last said, we will not be showing The Bounty Hunter this week. Instead, for the week of April 23, 2010 - April 29, 2010 we will once more be presenting Dear John, starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. My apologies for the confusion, and anyone who made plans based around my last posting.

While home on leave, Sergeant John Tyree, a member of the Special Forces, meets and falls in love with Savannah Curtis, a college student visiting the town during spring break as she helps to build a house for Habitat for Humanity.

John joins in work on the house, and Savannah falls in love with John. As John returns to duty, and Savannah to school, they keep their relationship alive through a series of letters. Things go well until John re-enlists after the 9/11 attack on the U.S.

Can their love survive the change in plans?
