One for the Money - Two for the Show...

January 13, 2012 3:28pm - One for the Money PosterYes! You heard it properly. As Scott Tady said in yesterday's column in the Beaver County Times, we will be opening One for the Money on January 27, 2012! Friday night's grand opening will begin at 6:30 PM with a gala celebration at Plum's Bail Bonds (Marlene Verigood's store across the street from the theatre ). The affair features wine, cheese, One for the Money memorabilia, a red carpet experience, and a ticket to Friday night's show. Attendance will be limited to 100 people. The movie itself will begin at 8:30PM sharp. Tickets are available for $20.00 through the Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce. For tickets and information call 724-266-3040. After the Friday night grand opening, we will be running our normal showtimes on Saturday and Sunday, as well as the complete next weekend. (Yes, we will have the movie at least two weeks). In addition, we will be running an evening show on Wednesday and Thursday, February 1 and 2. Due to restrictions from the production company, we will be changing prices for One for the Money. Matinee tickets will remain at $4.00, but evening shows will be $6.00. You can purchase tickets for all shows beginning Saturday, January 28 by stopping at our box office during normal theatre hours (Friday evenings, all day Saturday and Sunday).

Closed for Nationality Days

May 11, 2011 2:40pm - As you probably know, Ambridge will be holding Nationality Days this weekend, May 13 - May 15, 2011. As usual, we will be closed for the weekend. We encourage you to take some time, visit the festival, and enjoy the food, vendors, and entertainment. We will return with another great movie May 20. Happy Nationality Days!

March 10, 2011 10:36pm - This is just a short note to let you know that there will be no 1:10PM showing of I Am Number Four on Saturday, March 12, 2011, due to a death in the family. We will be closing the theatre for that show only so we can attend the funeral. All other shows will be presented as scheduled. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you at the movies.

On Vacation March 4-6, 2011

February 28, 2011 7:56pm - For the first time since we took over the Ambridge Family Theatre in 1998, we will be closing over a weekend to go on vacation. The weekend of March 4 - 6, 2011, the Ambridge Family Theatre will be closed as we travel to the sunny climes of Florida to see one of the creations of the father of many of the movies we all know and love, Walt Disney World. While we are in Florida we'll also be taking the time to visit our son and daughter-in-law and see the grandson we have never met. We'll return for the weekend of March 11 - 13 with another great movie. Enjoy your week, as we enjoy ours.

End of the Holidays

February 9, 2011 9:31am - Christmas has been here and gone. New Year has passed. The Steelers have gone to the Superbowl and returned. We here at the Ambridge Family Theatre think we can say the holidays are officially over. As a result, starting this weekend, February 11,2011 our admission prices will be returning to their pre-holiday level. Matinee shows (those before 6:00PM) will again be $4.00. Evening shows $5.00. As always, children under the age of 3 will continue to be free. Our concession prices remain at their great low price, including the Great Date Special, two small drinks and a large popcorn for only $4.50.
