March 14, 2008 6:30am - Due to the fact that the parts we ordered still have not arrived, we will not be able to present a film on Friday, March 14, 2008. Our suppliers assure us that the parts will definitely be here today. I hope so. As soon they do arrive, I will be installing them. We apologize for the delays, and look forward to seeing you again soon.

March 8, 2008 10:33pm - We regret to announce that the power supply for the lamphouse went out Friday evening, I haven't been able to get it repaired, and won't be able to get parts for it until the new week begins. As a result, we will be closed Saturday and Sunday, March 8th and 9th, 2008. We should be able to be back on the screen next weekend, and will be trying to keep The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything for an extra week. As soon as I have more information, I will send out an update. Thank you for your patience and for choosing to frequent the Ambridge Family Theatre.

February 11, 2008 10:31am - The Ambridge Family Theatre is one of only three independent movie houses operating in the greater Pittsburgh area. The other two are The Oaks in Oakmont and the Hollywood Theater in Dormont. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review had an article on these, and other independent theatres that may be re-opening in the Pittsburgh area on Sunday, February 10, 2008. September 25, 2007 3:07pm - We're happy. We're proud. We finally have Ambridge Family Theatre T-shirts and mugs available for purchase. The T-shirts are grey, and come in adult small, large, and extra large sizes. They are $15.00 each. The mugs are extra large, perfect for that large cup of hot chocolate or homemade cappucino. They are $10.00 each. Both the T-shirts and the mugs are available at the theatre every weekend. Check them out the next time you come in.

July 11, 2007 5:32pm - As of July 13, 2007, evening ticket prices will be changed to $5.00 per person. Matinee prices will remain at $4.00 per person, and all concession prices will remain at their current level. All children under the age of three will continue to be free. To all our long time and customers and friends, we thank you. You are the heart of the Ambridge Family Theatre. Over the years Glenda has been able to gradually speed up the rate at which we are able to get films. When we first took over the threatre, it took us 6 - 8 weeks to get a film. Now we get most films in 2 - 5 weeks, and were even able to open the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie (and great fun it was. :-) ). We hope having prices at this level will allow us to get some movies even more quickly for you. Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you, and serving you, for years to come.
