Bridge to Terabithia tells the story of Jesse Aarons and Leslie Brooke. Jesse wants to be the fastest runner in school. He trains all summer, only to be beaten by a girl, a new kid named Leslie. He's poor. She's rich. He's a boy. She's a girl. He's from the country. She's from the city. Even so, they befriend one another and together build a fantasy world which they rule as king and queen. Then tragedy strikes.

We are happy to announce that this weekend March 2 - March 4, we will be allowed to present
Dreamgirls.
Dreamgirls is based on the 1981 Broadway play of the same name. It tells the story of the rise of a black female trio in the early 1960s from small beginnings to stardom. Dreamgirls was nominated for several Academy awards, and won two Oscars. Jennifer Hudson won for best actress in a supporting role, and the film won for best sound mixing. It stars Beyonce Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Danny Glover, Jennifer Hudson, and Anika Noni Rose.

Based on a true story and the book "
The Freedom Writers Diary: How a Teacher and 150 Teens Used Writing to Change Themselves and the World Around Them", Hillary Swank stars as the teacher Erin Gruwell. Fresh out of school, Erin goes to work in the inner city Wilson High School with kids whose highest hope is to make it through the day. The movie relates her transformation as a teacher and person, and the transformation of her students as they realize they can make it to life past the age of eighteen.
