Annie is fresh out of college and not sure what she wants to do with her life. Interested in anthropology, when a wealthy mother offers her a job as a nanny, she takes it. Annie approaches her job as an anthropologist, and is amazed at how human the family is, complete with an unaffectionate mother, a philandering father, a spoiled child. The Nanny Diaries is a satirical look at life in New York City's upper East side.
